These beautiful little Olla bottles are fantastic for deep-root watering of my potted fruit trees and vegies. Plant production has definitely increased. And they save water too - less evaporation and water getting right down to the roots where the plants need it. Arrived quickly, well packed (of course the packaging is now breaking down in the worm farm. Everything about the experience was great. I'd like to see other coloured birds and to sell them separately too. Purchasing these products from Wendy and the 'Up on the Roof' team doesn't feel like a transaction - it feels like a friendship.
Thank you for your beautiful words Kate! Once you join the Waterpot olla family you're gardening kin!
I gifted the Olla water bird to my mum. Mum loved receiving and had a few tears. Since it’s been in the garden Mum has been amazed at how the pot has emptied.
Love the The Waterpot Bird Olla - 1 Litre. Planted it in a Navy Root Pouch with strawberry plants. Looking forward to see how it performs.
Item excellent but although designed in US it us made in China. I live in Australia and will not be supporting products made in China from now on. Many other Australians feel the same way.Sorry
The Waterpot Ollas are ann Australian design, not USA and we are a registered Australian business. We pay taxes and support local economies through our business. Our values are based on Earth Care, People Care and Fair share and all of our off-shore made products we stand by for their quality and the ethical manufacture. We support Australian made products too but please be thorough if you are promoting such a strong point of advocacy. You will need to check the provenance of every material/component/ingredient in the items you purchase (your phone, computer, your car, your clothing, everything in your home etc) for you will find that most of it is foreign made and re-purposed into the item you are using. Often Australian made is simply that, made in Australia but from foreign or a combination of local and foreign resources. Australian businesses will often source supply from overseas because of the price point that the Australian market is willing to pay. Most definitely, we should support Australian made from local materials where possible.
I ordered 3 waterpots, they arrived beautifully packaged. I have planted this one with pea seeds and within a few days the seeds had sprouted and are growing lovely, so easy to use and monitor. At present I am topping up the water every 5 days or so in our Melbourne climate. Love it!!!
