Filled my patio pack with lettuce, rocket and a blueberry plant. They are growing amazingly well. Bought one for my friend for Christmas and I can't wait to give it to her.
I am currently growing strawberries and have made the other into a herb garden and I love them! I also purchased the tomato pack and my tomato plant is THRIVING!!! And I live in sunless Melbourne haha 100% recommend for a sunny verandah space!
I am so happy with my purchase of the Patio Pack. Not only is this great value for money but the ollas are so easy to use, maintain and have made my very sad attempts at vegetable growing successful. It has really opened my eyes to just how much water is needed to keep my plants healthy, and it's not even summer here in Qld. I will be buying many more grow bags and ollas and ditching my terracotta and plastic pots for flowering shrubs. I highly reccommend.
Easy to assemble, attractive design and easy to move around once filled. I'm using mine to grow parsnips, carrots and silverbeet.
It's not possible to bottom water in a grow bag so the olla helps to control the amount of water and takes out the guess work. I bought some heavy duty plant trolleys to move them around on my balcony and keep it tidy. Sometimes the handles get in the way especially on the smaller bags, but minor inconveniences. I've planted basil, beans and sweet potatoes in the patio packs. No news on the sweet potato yet but basil and beans are doing great.
Hi Kim! Trolleys are amazing to create flexible growing spaces. A tip on the handles, you can fold them down on the inside and build the soil up to cover them if you wish! They will be fine tucked underneath and out of sight if you prefer that look. Happy growing!
On the 3rd floor. Works perfectly for our Xmas tree and frangipani.
